Language Industry Veteran Brings Enterprise Sales Growth to NATIONS

Yves Tabet has been a driving force in the Canadian language industry for a decade. He began his work in Canada at Xerox, selling its language and other technologies and learning the legendary Xerox sales system. From there, he moved into leadership sales positions at various Canadian language service providers where he enabled them to exceed sales targets and capture new markets.

In 2022, he switched gears entirely by accepting a leadership Director position at Gartner, known for its marketing analytics and benchmark ratings of various technology services. In this position, he once again exceeded expectations in enterprise-level sales for two successive years.

Yves’ old friend, André Palaguine, convinced him to leave this promising role and join NATIONS to add his impressive results-driven sales expertise to NATIONS Translation Group. Yves knew well enough that any company led by André was sure to be successful, so he accepted the move to a smaller company on the strength of NATIONS’ reputation and growth performance. André and Yves had worked together at various other Canadian language service providers, with great success as a team.

“I see a lot of potential in NATIONS, especially with it being Indigenous-owned and the whole ESG partnership angle to the business. The growth of the company is appealing to me along with so many other factors.”

-Yves Tabet

Despite being in different industries, Yves describes the challenges of selling marketing analytics tools as being very similar to selling language services such as translation and interpretation. In both cases, ROI has to be demonstrated to the client, which Yves is able to expertly achieve with his background in tech and language.

Yves will drive significant growth at NATIONS by selling its reputation, its brand, and its potential as an Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) partner to clients due to its Indigenous ownership. All of these combine to create a company that allows a sales leader like Yves to confidently grow sales, especially to enterprise and large-scale clients.
