NATIONS Translation Group Launches Indigenous Economic Reconciliation Awards

As a 100% Indigenous-owned company, NATIONS Translation Group is acknowledging selected clients and partners with the Indigenous Economic Reconciliation Awards. With this program, we will be recognizing those who have not only made the right choice with NATIONS as a language services provider, but who have directly contributed to Indigenous economic reconciliation by doing business with us.

What is Indigenous economic reconciliation?

The Institute for Sustainable Finance at Queen’s University defines Indigenous economic reconciliation as “the inclusion of Indigenous people, communities and business in all aspects of economic activity.” It is a key element of any Canadian company’s Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) corporate program. Put even more simply, economic reconciliation is about engaging with Indigenous businesses by including them in any procurement process.

Why choose an Indigenous business?

Businesses should always choose the best provider for the job - that’s the nature of commerce. As the largest privately-owned language services provider in Canada and a long-term provider of translation, interpretation, and other services to enterprises and government, we can simply sell our services based on reputation and quality.

However, our Indigenous ownership by various key leading personalities in Indigenous business and a First Nation also make us an ideal partner to help your organization meet its ESG goals. The story of how a language services company was purchased by First Nations stakeholders is simple: they wanted to uplift Indigenous communities by providing jobs and use the proprietary technology we have in-house to preserve endangered Indigenous languages

The NATIONS Indigenous Economic Reconciliation Awards are a way to recognize specific clients and partners who have made long-term commitments to our business to support us financially so we can achieve these goals. We look forward to awarding and introducing our recipients throughout 2025.
